Kalaidyntsi

The village of Kalaidyntsi is located 10 kilometers north of Lubny, on the road to Chornukhy. Administratively, it is part of the Lubny hromada of the Lubny district of the Poltava region.

The first written mentions of the village date back to the 17th century. According to legend, the name Kalaidyntsi comes from the surname Kalaida, which was borne by the Cossack who became the founder of the village. Another version connects the name with the nobles Koledynsky, who were long related to the Mazeps.

In the center of the village is the Bardakivskyi pond. Once upon a time, the Lyman River flowed through the village, on which water mills stood. The residents have also been engaged in apple growing for a long time.

In the Kravtsivskyi tract on the outskirts of the village of Kalaidyntsi, there is a holy spring, the water from which is considered healing.

В центрі села розташований ставок Бардаківський. Колись через село протікала річка Лиман, на якій стояли водяні млини. Також жителі здавна займалися вирощуванням яблук.
