The village of Novoavramivka on the left bank of the Khorol River is located 15 kilometers east of the city of Khorol, on the road to Myrhorod. Administratively, it is part of the Khorol hromada of the Lubny district of the Poltava region.
The village arose in the late 17th - early 18th centuries. It is first mentioned in 1666 as Avramivka, later - Usova Avramivka, and from 1795 - Nova Avramivka.
During the Cossack times, Novoavramivka was part of the Khorol hundred of the Myrhorod regiment. The Ascension Church built at that time was destroyed by the Soviet authorities in 1965.
The residents suffered from the Holodomor of 1932–1933 (the names of 250 victims have been established).
A natural monument of local importance is a 300-year-old sycamore oak.
Село Новоаврамівка на лівому березі річки Хорол розташоване за 15 кілометрів на схід від міста Хорол, по дорозі на Миргород. Адміністративно входить до складу Хорольської громади Лубенського району Полтавської області.
Село виникло наприкінці XVII – на початку XVIII століття. Вперше згадується 1666 року як Аврамівка, згодом – Усова Аврамівка, а з 1795 року – Нова Аврамівка.
За козацьких часів Новоаврамівка входила до Хорольської сотні Миргородського полку. Збудована в ті часи Вознесенська церква знищена радянською владою в 1965 році.
Жителі потерпали від Голодомору 1932–1933 років (встановлено імена 250-ти жертв).
Пам'яткою природи місцевого значення є дуб черещатий віком близько 300 років.

The Local Lore Museum of the Novoavramivka village was established in May 1959 on a non-profit basis and became the first rural historical and local lore museum in the Poltava region. Its founder and director for many years was a local teacher and local historian Fedir Mohylenko.
Currently, the collection of the Novoavramivka Local Lore Museum has about 5,000 exhibits. The exhibitions tell about local history and culture, immersing visitors in the everyday life and traditions of past generations.
In particular, in the museum you can learn about the nature and distant past of the region, the originality of local culture, the events of the early 20th century and collectivization, the Second World War and post-war reconstruction, important events of modern times.
The Novoavramivskyi Local Lore Museum is a branch of the Khorol Local Lore Museum.
