Derman Persha

The large village of Derman Persha is located on the slope of the Mizoch Ridge, next to the Rivne-Ostroh highway. Now these are two separate villages - Derman Persha and Derman Druha.

According to one of the legends, a certain prince fell asleep in this place during a hunt, almost becoming the prey of a wild beast, from which, allegedly, the original name Dreman came. According to another version, the name comes from the word derma (thickness).

It was mentioned for the first time in 1322, when Prince Lubart Hedymynovych donated Derman together with other villages to the Lutsk Cathedral of Saint John. In 1497, the village became the property of Prince Kostyantin Ostrozkyi, who founded a monastery here, which became his country residence.

During the Liberation War of 1648-1654, rebel units were formed here, but the war soon led to the complete decline of the village. The renaissance began in the 18th century, at the same time the village was divided into the monastery part and the lord's part, which was officially fixed in Soviet times.

За однією з легенд, якийсь князь задрімав на цьому місці під час полювання, мало не ставши здобиччю дикого звіра, звідки, нібито, пішла первинна назва Дремань. За іншою версією, назва походить від слова дерма (зарості).

Вперше згадується в 1322 році, коли князь Любарт Гедимінович подарував Дермань разом з іншими селами луцькому собору Святого Іоанна. В 1497 році село перейшло у власність князя Костянтина .Острозького, який заснував тут монастир, який став його заміською резиденцією.

Під час Визвольної війни 1648-1654 років тут формувалися повстанські загони, однак війна незабаром привела до цілковитого занепаду села. ...
