Buzhanka

The village of Buzhanka is located in a recreation area on the banks of the Hnyliy Tykych River.

Founded in the 17th century. The name may be related to the East Slavic tribe of Buzhan, who lived in the basin of the Pivdennyi Buh River.

In 1775, the wooden Church of the Ascension was built, and in 1855 - the stone church of Saint Sophia, the construction of which was financed by Sofiya Potoska, the daughter of Count Kostyantyn Branytskyi, who owned the village at that time. Both temples have not been preserved.

The Buzhanka sugar factory has been operating since 1851. The ancient dilapidated warehouse building of the plant resembles the ruins of a medieval castle.

In an ecologically clean oak forest, near Buzhanka, there is a health resort "Prolisok"....
