Kvitky

The village of Kvitky is located 10 kilometers south of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi.

According to legend, it was founded in the 17th century by the Zaporizhzhian Cossack Kvitka, although archaeological findings indicate that this territory was inhabited even earlier. In 1792, Kvitky was granted the right of Magdeburg. The wooden Saint Nicolas Church (not preserved) was known from the 18th century.

In 1882, the outstanding composer Kyrylo Stetsenko was born in Kvitky. The Stetsenko museum was opened in the building of the Zemstvo school where he studied.

Near the village is the "Flower Spring" spring, which blows with three jets from a white clay mountain.

Село Квітки розташоване в 10 кілометрах на південь від Корсуня-Шевченківського.

За легендою, засноване в XVII сторіччі запорозьким козаком Квіткою, хоча археологічні знахідки свідчать, що ця територія була заселена і раніше. В 1792 році Квіткам було надано Магдебурзьке право. З XVIII століття була відома дерев'яна Миколаївська церква (не збереглася).

В 1882 році в Квітках народився видатний композитор Кирило Стеценко. В будівлі земської школи, де він навчався, відкрито музей Стеценка.

Поруч з селом розташоване джерело "Квіткове джерело", який б'є трьома струменями з білоглиняної гори.
