Tarkhankut Lighthouse, Olenivka

The Tarkhankut lighthouse is a well-preserved 200-year-old lighthouse that is still functioning and is located on the western edge of the Crimean peninsula, Cape Tarkhankut.

Presumably, the lighthouse at this dangerous place from the point of view of navigation existed even in ancient times. The current 42-meter-high tower was built of white Inkerman limestone in 1816. Due to the excellent quality of the construction, the building required only cosmetic repairs until now.

Тарханкутський маяк - досі функціонуючий 200-річний маяк, що добре збергігся, встановлений на західному краю Кримського півострова, мисі Тарханкут.

Імовірно, маяк на цьому небезпечному місці з точки зору судноплавства існував ще в античні часи. Нинішня вежа висотою 42 метри була збудована з білого інкерманського вапняку в 1816 році. Завдяки відмінній якості будівництва досі споруда вимагала лише косметичного ремонту.

В 1851 році Тарханкутський маяк мав 13 ламп з рефлекторами, в 1862 році освітлення було поліпшено і поширювалося на 12,4 милі. Під час туману подався звук пневматичної сирени чи робилися удари в дзвін.
