General information about Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Church (Slavsko)
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Slavsko was built in 1901 (architect Vasyl Nahirny) on the place where, according to legend, a cross fell twice, torn by the wind from an old wooden church on a nearby hill.
The bell tower at the cemetery survived from the wooden Assumption Church.
A monument to the writer Mykola Ustyyanovych was erected near the church.
Церква Успіння Пресвятої Богородиці у Славську побудована в 1901 році (архітектор Василь Нагірний) на тому місці, куди, за легендою, двічі падав хрест, зірваний вітром зі старої дерев'яної церкви на сусідній гірці.
Від дерев'яної Успенської церкви збереглася дзвіниця на цвинтарі.
Поруч із храмом встановлено пам'ятник письменнику Миколі Устияновичу.
