Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Church

Temple , Architecture

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Slavsko was built in 1901 (architect Vasyl Nahirny) on the place where, according to legend, a cross fell twice, torn by the wind from an old wooden church on a nearby hill.

The bell tower at the cemetery survived from the wooden Assumption Church.

A monument to the writer Mykola Ustyyanovych was erected near the church.

Monument to UPA Heroes

Monument

The monument to the heroes of the UPA in Slavsko was erected on the grave of the fallen soldiers of the UPA and victims of the repressions of 1940-1950.

It is located next to the Church of the Assumption.

The names of those who died for the freedom of Ukraine are engraved on the monument.
