Historical and Cultural Complex "Castle-Museum Radomysl", Radomyshl

The building of a water mill on the Myka River on the southern outskirts of Radomyshl was built at the end of the 19th century (according to other sources in 1904) on the foundations of a paper factory founded in 1606 by Archimandrite Yelysey Pletenetsky to provide paper for the printing house of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

The factory was destroyed during the Cossack uprisings. Built on the ruins of a neo-Gothic mill building, it looks like a medieval castle. The building has three wings from 3 to 5 floors, connected by an 8-story tower in the center. A spiral staircase with 158 steps leads to the bell tower.

Будівлю водяного млина на річці Микі на південній околиці Радомишля зведено в кінці ХІХ століття (за іншими даними в 1904 році) на фундаментах паперової фабрики, заснованої в 1606 році архімандритом Єлисеєм Плетенецьким для забезпечення папером друкарні Києво-Печерської лаври.

Фабрику було зруйновано під час козацьких повстань. Зведена на руїнах будівля млина у стилі неоготики зовні нагадує середньовічний замок. Будівля має три крила від 3 до 5 поверхів, з'єднаних 8-поверховою вежею в центрі. У вежу-дзвіницю ведуть гвинтові сходи зі 158 сходинок.

Млин функціонував до 1960-х років, потім довгий час стояв занедбаним. У 2011 році з ініціативи родини Богомолець-Шереметьєвих у відреставрованій будівлі було відкрито історико-культурний комплекс "Замок Радомисль".
