General information about Saint Daniel's Church (Kostobobriv)
The Saint Daniel's Church in Kostobobriv was built from 1996 to 1997 at the initiative of the second president of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma, who graduated from school in this village. The temple is named after his father.
Previously, there was a wooden Ascension Church on this place, built in 1911 and burned down in 1979 by order of the Chernihiv leadership.
Свято-Данілівська церква в Костобоброві будувалася з 1996 по 1997 рік за ініціативою другого президента України Леоніда Кучми, який закінчив школу в цьому селі. Храм названо на честь його батька.
Раніше на цьому місці була дерев'яна Вознесенська церква, збудована в 1911 році та спалена у 1979 році за наказом чернігівського керівництва.
