General information about Leopold Koenig Monument (Trostianets)
A monument to the entrepreneur Leopold Koenig was erected in 2010 in Trostianets, across the street from the Trostianets chocolate factory "Mondelize" (formerly "Kraft Foods", "Ukraine").
At the end of the 19th century, Koenig opened a sugar refinery on the site of this enterprise. Koenig also built a parquet factory, a mill, and a distillery in Trostianets, contributing to the economic development of the city and the region.
Пам'ятник підприємцю Леопольду Кенігу встановлено у 2010 році в Тростянці, навпроти прохідної Тростянецької шоколадної фабрики "Монделіз" (колишньої "Крафт Фудз", "Україна").
На місці цього підприємства в кінці ХІХ століття Кеніг відкрив цукрорафінадний завод. Також Кеніг побудував у Тростянці паркетну фабрику, млин, винокурню, чим сприяв економічному розвитку міста та регіону.
