Історико-краєзнавчий музей села Карапиші засновано у 1984 році з ініціативи місцевих активістів-краєзнавців Олексія Гури та Михайла Перетятька. Допомогу у зборі місцевого матеріалу їм надавали односельці.

Експозиція у п'яти залах розповідає про історію села Карапиші від найдавніших згадок і до сьогодення, а також про культуру та побут його мешканців.

Зокрема, представлене "Свідоцтво про населені пункти", укладене 25 квітня 1896 року, коли Карапиші належали до Київської губернії Канівського повіту. Також експонуються зразки чоловічого та жіночого одягу початку XX століття, старовинний ткацький верстат та інші знаряддя праці, предмети селянського побуту, зброя часів Другої світової війни.
