The Greek-Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tiachiv was built in 1852-1889 on the site of a wooden church.

The modern iconostasis was made in Budapest workshops. Two huge bells are installed on the tower, one of which was originally cast for the cathedral in Sighet (Romania).

In 1948, after the ban of the Greek-Catholic Church, the shrine was handed over to the Orthodox community, and only in 2009 was the Assumption Church finally returned to the Greek-Catholics.

The private ethnographic museum in Velyka Uholka was opened in 2009 by the former ranger of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve Andriy Rehush.

The exposition is located in one of the rooms of his own house. Several hundred exhibits are presented that characterize the ancient Transcarpathian life: tools, dishes, clothes, decorations, etc.

The Stepan Vayda People's History and Local Lore Museum is located in the village of Dulovo in Transcarpathia. It bears the name of tank driver Stepan Vayda, who was born in the village of Dulovo in 1922, during the Second World War he fought on the side of the Soviet Union as part of the 1st Czechoslovaska Army Corps and died in the battles for the Polish city of Tworków in 1945.

The exhibition in 4 halls reflects the history and culture of the Tyachiv region. Many items of ancient clothing, household items, and work tools are presented. Also collected are collections of local folk craftsmen - weaving, embroidery, etc. A tank and a bust of Stepan Vayda have been installed on the territory of the museum.

The Museum of the Salt Mines History in the urban-type village of Solotvyno tells about the origin and development of salt industries in Transcarpathia, methods of salt extraction in the territory of the region in different historical eras.

Since 1974, the museum has been located near the Solotvyno Salt Mine, which is one of the largest in Europe (salt reserves here amount to 300 million tons, the thickness of the layer of industrial development is 300 meters). However, due to the emergency condition of the building in connection with the karst processes on the territory of the salt mine, the Historical Museum of Salt Mines has temporarily stopped working.

In 2021, the Solotvyno Village Council allocated a new exhibition space to the museum. Here are presented tools of salt miners, various lanterns and lamps, clothes and personal belongings of miners, various engineering structures, documents, maps and photographs.

The private museum of the history and ethnography of Transcarpathian Romanians opened in 2014 in the village of Nyzhnia Apsha, which is called the richest village in Ukraine. A significant part of the population here is made up of ethnic Romanians.

The museum was created in his own yard by the Apsha dentist and writer, ethnic Romanian Ion Botosh, who has been collecting Romanian antiquities since 1984. The real adornment of the complex is a 200-year-old wooden house in the Maramorosh style.

The exposition presents Romanian embroidery, authentic clothes, towels, household items, icons, books, manuscripts, documents. You can also familiarize yourself with the tools of peasant labor and the working tools of craftsmen.

A salt lake of anthropogenic origin, an analogue of the Dead Sea in terms of water mineralization.

It was created in Solotvyno in 1902 on the site of a salt mine that was begging. Named after the Hungarian queen Kunigunda, the wife of the Kyiv prince Yaropolk, who, according to legend, stopped here on the way to Kyiv.

Today it is surrounded by many similar lakes. The salinity of the water in them reaches 32-35%, which causes a feeling of weightlessness when diving. The chemical composition is characterized by an increased concentration of bromine ions. During the year, the water temperature does not fall below 17°С, in summer it is kept at the level of 25-27°С. The shore and bottom of the lake are covered with a layer of black healing mud.

The lake is a resort, mud treatment and treatment with salt solution (rapa) are widely used. Muds have a positive effect in the treatment of the cardiovascular system, final phenomena of phlebitis and thrombophlebitis, bone disease, nervous system, urological diseases, psoriasis and pulmonary system.

The private Local Lore Museum "Sriberna Zemlia" (Silver Land) in the village of Hrushovo was opened in 1994 in the house of Transcarpathian artist Vasyl Tegza, who during his lifetime collected a considerable collection of antiquities.

After the death of the artist, his wife Lyudmila continued the museum work.

Today, the museum has more than 5,000 exhibits in 12 departments. Among them are the handwritten "Gospel" of the 15th century and another 65 old prints, an ancient church chalice, an icon of the Transcarpathian school of painting, coins from the Roman period, rare stamps of many countries.

The ethnographic exposition presents more than 200 samples of clothing, mostly Hutsul, 250 home-woven towels, spinning wheels with bobbins, a large number of household items (vats, butter churns, jugs, berbeniks, painted plates).

Some of Vasyl Tegza's paintings, in particular Transcarpathian landscapes, are also exhibited.

The People's Ethnographic Museum "Kalyna" was created in 2005 by Transcarpathian local historian and collector Yuriy Kutsyn in his own yard in the village of Kalyny.

During his lifetime, he collected more than 4,000 exhibits, some of which are 300-400 years old. The exposition presents ancient embroidered shirts and towels, traditional Hutsul clothing for holidays and everyday life, women's jewelry, painted ceramic dishes, kerosene lamps, musical instruments.

The greatest values of the collector are the chair in which the president of Carpathian Ukraine Auhustyn Voloshyn sat, and the sword of the Steyer squire of 1810.

In front of the entrance to the museum, there are several wooden sculptures, among them the bust of Pintio Khrushch.

On the territory there is an active model of a mill, an authentic Transcarpathian house of the 18th century and a small botanical garden where bananas, lemons, and coffee trees grow.

At the end of the tour, guests are treated to home-made mountain herb tea with mountain honey from their own apiary and home-made wine.

The host offers services for the organization of green tourism, excursions in the surroundings, hiking in the mountains. There is a sauna with a swimming pool.

The Reformation Church in Tiachiv was founded in the 13th century by the Hungarian king Laslo the Great as a Roman Catholic church. In 1546, the church was given to the reformers.

The temple is single-nave, rectangular in plan. In 1810, a three-tier bell tower with a tented finish was added to the western facade. An ancient clock is installed on the top tier of the bell tower. The side walls of the temple are reinforced with powerful buttresses, which give the building a special significance. The nave is covered with a wooden caisson with unique paintings of 200 pieces, among which there are images of a lion, a mermaid, a pelican, a dragon and others. Each part of the painting is a masterpiece in itself. The interior is decorated with a stylized floral ornament, similar to Ukrainian folk paintings.

Until 1944, the richest library of Maramoroschyna was kept in the Reformation Church of Tiachiv.

Next to the church there is an architecturally interesting Lutheran parish house, as well as a bronze bust of the Hungarian artist Shymon Holloshi, who lived in Tiachiv.

The Saint John Baptist Men's Monastery was founded in 1925 in the village of Dubove, but a few years later it was decided to move it to Bedevlia.

In 1955-1960, the monastery was closed, and it was revived in 1990. On the territory there is a large church of John the Baptist, a winter church of the Mother of God Pochaivska and a residential building with a refectory church. Today, 16 monks live here, and in their free time from obedience, they are engaged in the artistic treatment of icons with beads. Some of the works are for sale.

The shrines of the monastery include the icon of the heavenly patron of the monastery - Saint John the Forerunner with a portion of the relics of the Baptist, the ancient image of the Mother of God written by the Holy Apostle Luke (an ancient accurate list), the miraculous icon of Saint Tryphon, which was stolen several times, but managed to be returned.

It belongs to the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The church of Saint Stefan's (Ishtvan) in Tiachiv was built in 1883-1885 after the Catholic community was revived in the city, which was never able to regain the church of the reformers.

The temple was consecrated in 1888 and was named after the Hungarian king Saint Ishtvan (Stefan).

In the 1940s, the shrine was closed, services resumed only in 1988. The organ of 1890 has been preserved. It is interesting that the clock on the bell tower is not real, but painted.

The Ternovo Museum of Local Lore bears the name of its founder, the former chairman of the Ternovo village council, Ivan Zayats.

On his initiative, in the early 1980s, the Ternovo Museum of Local Lore began to function as a structural unit of the Transcarpathian Museum of Local Lore, and in 2003 the museum became an independent institution.

The exposition, in particular, presents a layout of the village at the beginning of the 20th century.

In the ethnographic part, ancient clothes, household items and work tools are exhibited.

Documents from the period of Austria-Hungary and Czechoslovakia, historical photographs, old prints are presented.

In the section dedicated to the founder of the museum, you can see rare cameras and film cameras of Ivan Zayats, who was fond of filmmaking.
