The communal institution "Prikolotne Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union Kostyantyn Olshansky of the Vilkhuvatka Village Council" works on the basis of the Prykolotne Lyceum named after Olshansky.
It was created in 1964 in the homeland of senior lieutenant Kostyantyn Olshansky, who in March 1944 commanded a detachment of marines during the liberation of the city of Mykolayiv from German occupation. Olshansky's landing party then captured the seaport of Mykolayiv and for two days kept it before the approach of the main forces, having repulsed 18 attacks of Nazis. All 68 paratroopers received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, 57 of them - posthumously.
The main exposition of a museum is devoted to these events, in particular the sounding diorama "The destroyed room of office of port of the elevator of the city of Mykolayiv" is sounded.
The museum also tells about the pedigree of the Olshansky family and the history of the village, in particular Prykolotne oil plant located here.
In total, about 2,000 exhibits are presented: personal belongings of the Olshansky family, decorative and utility items of Slobozhanshchyna of the XIX-XX centuries.

Temple , Architecture
Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Kupyansk was built in 1852 on the site of a wooden church founded in 1705. The construction was carried out at the expense of the funds donated by the landowner Aparshyn and on the donations of the parishioners.
During the Soviet rule, in 1932, part of the temple was destroyed (the entire dome and bell tower).
In 1991, the temple was restored to its original form. In 2012, the church was granted cathedral status. There is a Sunday school at the church.
On September 26, 2022, during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the territory of the Saint Nicholas Cathedral was destroyed due to shelling by Russian troops - the Sunday school and the church store burned down as a result of the shelling.
