Chernyk

The mountain village of Chernyk is located on the territory of the "Horhany" nature reserve, 25 kilometers southwest of Nadvirna.

It has been known since the 18th century, when residents took part in the opryshk rebel movement.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the famous ethnographer and folklorist Antin Onyschuk, who was repressed during the Stalinist terror, lived and worked as a teacher in the village (a monument was erected, a museum was opened).

There is a picturesque Chernytskyi waterfall on the territory of the village.

Гірське село Черник розташоване на території заповідника "Горгани" в 25 кілометрах на південний захід від Надвірної.

Відоме з XVIII сторіччя, коли жителі брали участь у повстанському русі опришків.

На початку XX століття в селі жив і працював учителем відомий етнограф і фольклорист Антін Онищук, репресований в період сталінського терору (встановлено пам'ятник, відкрито музей).

На території села є мальовничий Черницький водоспад.
