General information about Zmiiv Local Lore Museum (Zmiiv)
Zmiiv Museum of Local Lore was established in 1991. The museum is located in an old two-story building.
The exposition is based on archeological finds made in the Zmiiv region - more than 10 thousand exhibits. In particular, the tools of the Stone Age, weapons and chain mail from the times of Kiyvan Rus, household items of the XIX century, among which the most interesting are the loom and the primitive sawmill.
The art gallery of Zmiiv Local Lore Museum features the most interesting works by local artists depicting the crash of the royal train and the Saviour's Hermitage, the legendary Cossack Mountain, based on this site.
Зміївський краєзнавчий музей було створено в 1991 році. Музей розташовується в старовинній двоповерховій будівлі.
Основу експозиції складають археологічні знахідки, зроблені на території Зміївщини – понад 10 тисяч експонатів. Зокрема, представлені знаряддя праці кам'яної доби, зброя та кольчуга часів Київської Русі, предмети побуту ХІХ століття, серед яких найбільший інтерес представляють ткацький верстат та примітивна пилорама.
В картинній галереї Зміївського краєзнавчого музею представлені найцікавіші роботи місцевих художників, що зображують аварію царського поїзда і заснований на цьому місці Спасів скит, легендарну Козачу гору.
