The wooden Michael's Church in Pidhirtsi near Kyiv was built in 1742 on the initiative of the abbess of the Frolivsky Monastery on the site of the destroyed Peter and Paul Church in honor of the Miracle of Archangel Michael. A bell tower was added in the 19th century.
Due to the almost identical dimensions of the log cabins united under a common roof, the church resembles the oldest Klitschian type of wooden temples, characteristic of the princely era. The main feature of this is the location at the base of the building of the simplest wooden structure - a cage, that is, a log cabin formed by crowns of logs laid one on top of another.
Paintings and carvings of the 19th century have been preserved in the interior of Church in honor of the Miracle of Archangel Michael. The ensemble of the church and bell tower is a typical example of Ukrainian wooden architecture of the 19th century, an architectural monument of national importance.

The history of the Church of Saint Archangel Michael in Shandra dates back to 1755, when a wooden Greek-Catholic church was built here.
In 1768, during the Koliyivshchyna, priest Andriy Kuschevych supported the Haydamaks and converted to Orthodoxy, for which he was executed.
In 1811, the wooden Michael Church burned down. In its place, the current stone was laid in 20 years.
The Church of Archangel Michael is cruciform in plan, has one large dome on an octagonal drum and an attached bell tower. From the hill where the church stands, there are wonderful views: on one side a deep gully, on the other - the valley of the Shevelyuha River with a pond overgrown with reeds and willows.

The wooden Church of the Assumption in Vilkhovets was built in the 19th century on the site of the old Saint Michael's Church, known since 1700.
The church is nine-rubble five-headed, with a complex composition of volumes, which is rare for the Kyiv region. The top is made in the pseudo-Byzantine style, which makes the church similar to the temples of the princely period. Ancient paintings in the interior have been partially preserved.
On the territory is the grave of Kolotnovska, the wife of a local priest.

The Cathedral of Anthony and Theodosius in Vasylkiv is an example of Ukrainian Baroque architecture.
The cathedral in honor of Saints Anthony and Theodosius was built in the middle of the 18th century by the serf of the Kyiv-Pecherska Lavra, Stepan Kovnir, by order of the Lavra Archimandrite (according to legend, an underground passage was laid from the Vasylkiv Cathedral to the Lavra).
From the outside, it resembles the Kozelets Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin. Gables with cornices of double curvature are considered a characteristic detail of architecture (sculptor Talyanets).

The oldest administrative building of Vasylkiv is the County Present Place, built at the beginning of the 19th century. The headquarters of the Chernihiv regiment, which on January 10, 1826, joined the Decembrist uprising against the Russian autocracy and for the abolition of serfdom, was located here.
The uprising of the Chernihiv regiment, organized by the Southern Society of Decembrists, was led by lieutenant colonel Serhii Muravyov-Apostol and battalion commander Mykhailo Bestuzhev-Ryumin. The uprising was crushed within a week, and the organizers were later convicted and executed. A monument to the Decembrists was erected on the square opposite the building.
The building of the headquarters of the Chernihiv regiment is two-story, brick, plastered. The facade is typical of Russian classicism. The building was rebuilt several times. It housed the places of attendance, then the district police headquarters.
The local history department of the "Decembrists in Vasylkiv region" museum, which covered the activities of the Vasylkiv administration of the Southern Society (now under renovation), still worked in the two rooms. In particular, the cell in which Serhii Muravyov-Apostol and Mykhailo Bestuzhev-Ryumin were kept after the arrest was preserved.

The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God in Makedony was founded in 1729.
At first it was wooden. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was dismantled, and a new stone Intercession Church was built on the same place. The church was built with the assistance of priest Victor Solukha, who was a member of the State Duma for a while. In 1911, the church was consecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God. The temple was built in the then fashionable "brick" style.
Services were held until 1964, after which the church was closed and turned into a warehouse. In the 1970s, the dome collapsed and was never restored. The temple is still in poor condition, but restoration has begun.
