General information about Bobrytsia
The village of Bobrytsia at the confluence of the river of the same name in Irpin is located 20 kilometers northwest of Kyiv. The famous "Serpent's Shafts" pass not far from here.
Sloboda Bobrytsia has been known since 1648, when these lands belonged to the Saint Michael Zolotoverkhyi Monastery.
Architectural monuments have not been preserved. There is a museum of ethnography and history of the village of Bobrytsia, as well as a manor-gallery of the modern Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Slepchenko.
Since 2015, enthusiasts from the "Development and Improvement Fund" have been implementing the "Fairytale Village of Bobrytsia" project here.
Село Бобриця при впадінні однойменної річки в Ірпінь розташоване в 20 кілометрах на північний захід від Києва. Недалеко звідси проходять знамениті "Змієві вали".
Слобода Бобриця відома з 1648 року, коли ці землі належали Михайлівському Золотоверхому монастирю.
Архітектурні пам'ятки не збереглися. Працює музей етносу та історії села Бобриця, а також садиба-галерея сучасного українського художника Володимира Слепченка.
З 2015 року ентузіасти з "Фонду розвитку та благоустрою" реалізують тут проєкт "Казкове село Бобриця".

Bobrytsia Local Lore Museum

The Bobrytsia Local Lore Museum was opened in 2010 on the initiative of local historian and collector of antiquities Mykola Kovalchuk. The museum is located in the center of the village of Bobrytsia next to the sculpture park of avant-garde art.
The museum's exposition has more than 5,000 exhibits, including photographs and documents, household items (dishes, spinning wheels, cradles), national costumes, embroidered shirts, towels, etc.
The pearl of the museum is a complete genealogical tree of all Bobrytsia families starting from 1750. Here the memory of the lineage of the first founders of Bobrytsшa is preserved - the Opryshki and Cossacks of the times of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, the Potapenkos, Yaroshenkovs, Danchenkos, and Ihnatenkos.
The museum has 5 rooms, one of which is a living room, where the structure and life of Bobrytsia a century ago is recreated.
After the reconstruction, the museum building was painted by the famous graphic designer, artist, muralist, and public activist Bohdan Hdal.
