Hnidyn

The village of Hnidyn is one of the southern suburbs of Kyiv, located in the Dnipro floodplain, on the left bank of the river.

Hnidin was mentioned for the first time in 1545 in the tax books of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, although settlements have existed here since ancient times (an ancient Rus settlement of the 12th-14th centuries has been preserved).

In the 19th century, the village was part of the Brovary Volost, Oster County, Chernihiv Province.

Село Гнідин - одне з південних передмість Києва, розташоване в заплаві Дніпра, на лівому березі річки.

Вперше Гнідин згадується в 1545 році в податкових книгах Києво-Печерської лаври, хоча поселення тут існували з найдавніших часів (збереглося давньоруське городище XII-XIV сторічь).

В ХІХ столітті село входило до складу Броварської волості Остерського повіту Чернігівської губернії.
