Tsidulko Mill

Architecture , Entertainment / leisure

The water mill on the Synyukha River in Pervomaisk is located in the northern part of the city. The hydrotechnical structure with a stone building was built at the end of the 19th century by a local entrepreneur Tsidulko. In Soviet times, the mill was part of the structure of the district food processing plant.

Now the Tsidulko Mill is in private ownership. The building has been reconstructed as a recreation complex "Residence at the Water Mill", which has been operating since 2024 as a hotel, a location for photo shoots and a space for special events.

It is planned to open a museum, where you can see the work of the wooden mechanism of the water mill.

Underground Partisan Movement Museum

Architecture , Museum / gallery

The Museum of the Underground Partisan Movement in the Mykolaiv Region was opened in 1975 in an old mansion of the end of the 19th century, which belonged to the family of German colonists von Schardt, well-known in Mykolaiv.

In 1941-1943, the intelligence officer Viktor Lyahin, the head of the Mykolaiv underground resistance center during the Second World War, lived here.

The museum contains a rich collection of documents, photographs, and objects that tell about the struggle of the residents of the Mykolaiv region against the German invaders. Presented are fictitious medical certificates, passes, passports, copies of German seals, made by the underground to save young people from being deported to Germany and to organize the escape of prisoners of war from the concentration camp.

In the center of the hall, a collection of small arms and large-scale models of military equipment are exhibited.
