Museum / gallery
The Pidvyske Village History Museum was opened in 1967. It is located on the second floor of the Village House of Culture, in three rooms with a total area of about 170 square meters.
The first room of the museum acquaints visitors with the history of the area from the Bronze Age to the collapse of the Russian Empire. Fragments of Trypillia ware, household items of later eras, materials about the founding of the village of Pidvyske in the first half of the 18th century are presented. The past of the Haydamaks is illustrated by the diorama of the storming of the city of Uman by the detachments of Maksym Zalizniak and Ivan Honta. In the ethnographic exhibition you can see a loom, a spinning wheel, various household appliances and dishes.
The central element of the composition about the Second World War is a large diorama, which reproduces one of the battles of 1941, which were fought near Uman by the 6th and 12th Soviet armies surrounded by the Germans.
In the third room, you can familiarize yourself with the post-war history of Pidvyske and see numerous artifacts of Soviet propaganda.
