"Pryinhulskyi" Regional Landscape Park

Natural object , Reserve

Regional landscape park "Pryinhulskyi" is located in the section of the valley of the Inhul River from the village of Rozanivka to the village of Sofiivka.

Precambrian granites come to the surface here, forming a picturesque landscape. Some of the most visible or colorful outcrops of crystalline rocks have their own names. There are several legends about some of them, such as the "Pugach", "Stovp" (or "Rock of the Stone Heroes"), "Sleeping Beauty", "Stina" or simply "Ustia" rocks near the mouth of the Berezovka River. at the confluence with the Inhul River.

South of the village of Rozanivka there is also "Stina" or "Crow's Rock", on which a pair of crows have been nesting since ancient times.

There are fantastically attractive granite outcrops - the "Stone Chimera Coast", a granite plateau at the confluence of the Stoupova River and the Inhul River, which is called the "Devil's City" and others.

Near the village of Sofiivka, an artificial canyon and a waterfall have been created - the spillway of the Sofiivka hydraulic system for rainwater and snowmelt.

Bashtanka Local Lore Museum

Museum / gallery

The municipal cultural institution "Bashtanka Local Lore Museum" was established in 1959 in memory of the events of the peasant anti-Denikin uprising in the village of Poltavka (now Bashtanka) in September-November 1919.

The museum's collection includes over 6 thousand items of the main fund and 2 thousand items of the auxiliary fund.

The museum's exposition is spread over 8 halls. One of the eight halls is an exhibition hall, where thematic exhibitions from museum collections, exhibitions of folk craftsmen, artistic creative groups, etc. are held.

A separate exhibition hall of the museum is dedicated to the monumental artist Hryhoriy Dovzhenko (1899-1980), a native of Bashtanka - sketches of his works, paintings, drawings, personal belongings are presented.

The Bashtanka Local Lore Museum includes its branch - the "Museum of History and Fine Arts of the Village of Khrystoforivka" in the former estates of the Arkas family.

RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR

In the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, employees of the Bashtanka Museum of Local Lore faced the problem of preserving the cultural values, the main collection, documentation and property of the institution. They continued to remove exhibits from the museum and bury them until the last moment, until a Russian military column entered Bashtanka on March 1, 2022. For a long time, Bashtanka was repeatedly subjected to air raids and artillery shelling. The blast wave from the rocket attack damaged the roof of the museum. After almost two months of hiding exhibits, at the end of April 2022, the museum managed to remove five thousand exhibits, which is almost half of the museum collection. The exhibits were sent to storage outside the Mykolaiv region. The most valuable are the works of art and the archive of artist Hryhoriy Dovzhenko, ethnographic materials (a collection of towels and clothing from the late 19th and early 20th centuries), collections of photographs and documents, etc.

Saint Michael's Pelagie Monastery

Temple

Saint Michael's Pelagia Monastery adorns the rocky banks of the Inрul River on the territory of the "Pryinhulskyi" regional landscape park.

In the center of the complex stands the church of Saint Pelagia, built in 1896-1904 by the brothers Andriy and Mykhaylo Durilin, following the will of father Isidore Durilin, in memory of their mother Pelagia, who died early. An unknown German architect used the modern style fashionable at the turn of the century, embodying it in the "a la Russe" style. The twelve-headed church with domes was crowned with mirror crosses. There are three thrones in the church: Saint Archstrategist Michael, Saint Pelagia and Martyr Andriy Stratilatus. Before the Soviet-Ukrainian war, a parish school operated at the Pelagie church.

During the period of Soviet power, the temple was looted, the premises were used as a warehouse.

In 1994, an Orthodox nunnery of the Moscow Patriarchate was founded at the restored Pelagia Church. The restoration of the temple continues. The construction of the winter church, which is adjacent to the nuns' cells, has been completed.

Tropiny Estate

Architecture , Palace / manor

The estate of the Tropiny landowners is located on the territory of the Shchaslyvskyi Park on the opposite bank of the Inhul River from Sofiivka, in the village of Shchaslyve (from Sofiivka you can cross a suspended pedestrian bridge).

Brothers Mykola, Ivan, Oleksandr Tropin, sons of the merchant Stepan Tropin, were well-known philanthropists, builders of churches and trustees of educational institutions in Kherson. One of the Kherson hospitals bears their name.

In 1912, Tropiny built a manor house on the left bank of the Inhul and laid out a park. The manor house is poorly preserved, but restoration is already underway with the help of the "Pryinhulskyi" regional landscape park. A cellar has also been preserved, in which a banquet hall is arranged.

In the park, there are century-old aspen trees with a diameter of more than a meter, maples, and mulberries.
