Kotovsky once stood with his headquarters in nearby Volodarka, and the musicians of his orchestra were invited to Vilshanka to play at a wedding. In the morning, it became known that the White Guards were approaching Vilshanka, and the musicians, having abandoned their instruments, fled to their relatives in Volodarka. The fighters jumped out of bed, who was wearing what, got on their horses and rushed to rescue the drums.
