Castle / fortress
The powerful defensive Pniv Castle was built in the foothills of the Carpathians at the end of the 16th century on the ancient Transcarpathian trade route from Galicia to Hungary.
It served as a residence for magnates of the Polish (according to other sources - Hungarian or Moldavian) Kuropatv family, and also served as a customs point. The pentagonal structure with four corner towers and one gate tower was at one time the most powerful fortress in the Carpathian region. The residential palace of Kuropatv was located in the center.
The castle repeatedly withstood tests of strength during the Polish-Turkish wars of the 17th century, as well as during popular uprisings led by Hrynia Kardash, Oleksa Dovbush and others. In 1648, the Pniv Castle, whose defense was managed by Mykola Kuropatv, withstood the siege of the 5,000-strong Cossack army under the command of Colonel Semen Vysochan. After the end of the Liberation War under the leadership of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, the owners had to rebuild the castle from the ruins, but soon it lost its importance and fell into disrepair.
Restoration attempts were made both in the 19th and 20th centuries, but so far without success.
Access is free.

The second room "Hutsul Svitlytsia" is intended for holding master classes and tastings.
But first, visitors are offered to take part in the process of making budza in a herd, where a cauldron of milk is placed over an open hearth. After that, a tasting is held.

The territory behind the Potocki Palace in Ivano-Frankivsk is known as the "Hetman's Ramparts".
It was part of the city fortifications - the Stanislav fortress. In order for the castle of the owners of the city to be higher than other city fortifications, artificial ramparts with two bastions were built. Walls were built on the embankments, which were demolished at the beginning of the 19th century, and in 1876, the "Hetman's Ramparts" square was built on this site.
Today it is a small park in which the Ascension monument is installed, the central element of which is a sculpture of Jesus Christ.

Count Skarbek's castle (Skarbko) in Rozhniativ can be considered a tourist attraction only with a great stretch, since almost nothing remains from its medieval history in appearance.
Probably, the first castle in Rozhniativ was built in the 15th century. It had two towers and a defensive moat. In the 18th century, Count Rafayil Skarbek of the coat of arms "Abdank", who received these lands as a dowry for his wife Yuliya Mahdalena Benoe, rebuilt the castle in the neo-Gothic style, turning it into a grand magnate's residence.
Later, the district court and the police department were located in the castle premises. During Soviet times, the building was almost completely rebuilt once again. Only the decoration of the hexagonal corner tower has survived from the neo-Gothic decor. Currently, the building houses a branch of the National Police of Ukraine.

The manor of the Count family of Reys in Pryozerne (in the past - the village of Psari) was created in the 18th-19th centuries.
The Reys were descendants of the ancient Potocki family. The initial palace complex (classical, with a colonnade and a portico) arose in Psari in the second half of the 18th century. In 1880, the old palace was dismantled, and Countess Vilhelmina Rey began to build a new palace. The manor was designed by the well-known Lviv architect Yulian Zakharevych. The estate was surrounded by a landscape park with plane trees with an area of about 8 hectares.
The last owner of the estate was Lyudvik Rey. With the beginning of the Second World War, the count left for France, and his estate fell into the hands of the collective farm. During the Soviet period, it was used for economic purposes. Later - as a psychiatric hospital. In 1955, students of the Rohatyn zoo-veterinary complex settled in the palace. During the time of independent Ukraine, a nunnery operated here, and later the manor was transferred to the UOC of the Kyiv Patriarchate.
Currently, the Reys manor is in a deplorable state, although the Ukrainian-Polish "Psari" fund, headed by Martin Ryy, the grandson of the last owner, has already taken an interest in it.
