Temple
The Cave Saint Nicholas Men`s Monastery in Halytsia arose on the high bank of the Dniester, probably in the 13th century, on the basis of an early Slavic temple complex.
The monastery is located in natural caves formed in the wall of a vertical limestone rock on the slope of the Halytsky ravine. In the 18th century, Halytsia was mentioned as a hermitage. It was destroyed several times, revived in recent years.
The main complex includes 20 rock-hewn rooms with attached exterior walls that resemble fairy-tale houses with beautiful wooden windows and doors. The buildings are located on stepped terraces with staircases and arches. Some distance away is the hermit's cave.
A wonderful panorama of the Dniester opens from the terrace.

The Chernivtsi Regional Art Museum is located in an imposing building built in Chernivtsi in 1901 according to the design of architect Ayzenberh for the Bukovyna Savings Bank.
The museum building is considered one of the best examples of the Viennese Secession style in Eastern Europe. The upper part of the facade is decorated with a majolica panel, which symbolizes the economic prosperity of Austria-Hungary. The coat of arms of Bukovyna on the chest of one of the allegorical figures gives reason to believe that other figures also symbolize the various provinces of the empire.
Now the Chernivtsi Art Museum exhibits rare paintings by Bukovyna artists, from Turkish times to the present day (XVIII-XX centuries): Epaminond Buchevskyi, Yevhen Maksymovych, Avhusta Kokhanovska, Leon Kopelman, Mykola Ivasyuk, Yevzebiy Lipetskyi, Huho fon Retstsori, Artur Kolnyk and others . Opanas Shevchukevych plastic collection - miniature figurines made of terracotta - is also presented.
There is a souvenir shop and a literary cafe on the first floor of the Chernivtsi Art Museum.

Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life (Chernivtsi Skansen) is one of the few open-air museums in Ukraine that recreates the atmosphere of a traditional Ukrainian village with certain regional features.
The museum is located on an area of nine hectares with a characteristic hilly relief on the north-eastern outskirts of the city of Chernivtsi, near the Prut River. The exposition presents Bukovyna settlements of the mid-19th - first half of the 20th centuries.
Two characteristic village streets have been recreated in two exhibition areas of the museum (Khotyn region and Western Transnistria). Along them are five typical peasant estates with wooden residential and farm buildings typical of the villages of these regions, as well as a church, a bell tower, a village council, an inn, and a forge. The interiors, which display household items, tools, national clothing, etc., have been faithfully recreated.
The construction of three other zones of the museum is being prepared: "Prykarpattia" (Hlyboka, Storozhynets, Hertsa, Vyzhnytsia districts), "Hutsulshchyna" (partly Vyzhnytsia, Putyla districts) and the archaeological zone "Ancient Bukovyna".
Numerous thematic exhibitions are held on the basis of the Chernivtsi Museum of Folk Architecture and Life. Visitors are offered excursions, various theatrical performances, folklore holidays, ethno festivals, and master classes in traditional Bukovyna crafts.

The Roman Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, which has the status of a minor basilica, was built in 1814 by the personal order of the Austrian Emperor Joseph II, who during his visits to Chernivtsi was outraged that the Catholic community of the city had only a small chapel at its disposal.
Despite the financial and political support of the monarch, the construction of the temple was delayed for three decades. In 1818, the first clock was installed on the tower, which was then twice replaced with new ones. And on the side wall of the basilica there is a sundial.
The building acquired its modern appearance after the reconstruction in 1910.
In Soviet times, the Church of the Ascension in Chernivtsi was one of the few active Catholic churches on the territory of the USSR, due to which the interiors were completely preserved.
The church was granted the status of a minor basilica on July 19, 2014.
Concerts of classical and sacred music are held in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross before significant dates.
